The Waste & Resources Action Programme (WRAP) have supported waste management companies in filling the waste infastructure gap with £2 million worth of grants. The funding supported 16 companies in the West Midlands with developmental services also provided to a further 21 businesses.

The project so far has allowed an extra 2 million tonnes of waste per year to be diverted from landfill in the commerical and industrial sector.
