The plans for the largest eco-park in Manchester have been developed by Covanta Energy and Peel Environmental. At the heart of the park will be a energy-from-waste facility which will produce 95MW of energy and heat which will supply the surrounding materials reprocessors.

It is belived the park will become the new model removing the over reliance of landfill for municipal and business waste.
