The prices for PET has reached unprecidented levels with a letsrecycle survey stating the price per baled tonne stood between £230 and £260. This is £200 higher than the same survey in November 2008.

The rised has been associated to an increased push towards food grade quality plastics which requires a PET plastic feed in.
