The Environment Agency is the leading public body for protecting and improving the environment in England and Wales. It's their job to make sure that air, land and water are looked after by everyone in today's society, so that tomorrow's generations inherit a cleaner, healthier world. The Environment Agency sit on the BESST steering group and regularly contribute to the legislation update events.
The National Industrial Symbiosis Programme (NISP) identifies mutually profitable links between member companies; so that under-used resources such as energy, water and/or materials from one, are recovered, reprocessed and re-used by others. NISP have worked in partnership with BESST on the trading estate initiative events to assist members in moving towards zero waste to landfill and promoting waste swapping between members.

Carbon Trust
Mission is to accelerate the move to a low carbon economy by working with organisations to reduce carbon emissions and develop commercial low carbon technologies. The Carbon Trust offers support for SMEs including: a carbon calculator, advice on accreditation and certification and example case studies.
